Organize joke file.
Change calendar page on desk pad to August.
Create some new decorative doodles on fresh calendar page using colored pens and highlighters.
Sharpen entire colored pencil collection.
Rearrange magnetic poetry words on over head file. Create "I endeavor to eschew the obscure platitude."
Take the Atlantic Unbound Word Police Exam on the internet, and print out the certificate you earn for passing.
Rearrange bulletin board items to make room for Word Police certificate and post.
Think of people who should receive WP grammar citations.
Look for new on-line journals to read.
Find list of unusual Utah Mormon names on internet.
Review personal collection of strange names for possible connections.
Peruse book club flier for books to order. Order $50 worth of books from Amazon.com instead.
Refill water bottle.
Pick up alternative weekly paper from the lobby. Read sex column.
Dig through personal drawer. Find an old cough drop. Eat it.
Find Chinese fortune: "You will inherit a large sum of money." Display prominently.
Peel the label off of a bottle of Elmer's glue.
Discover that the little blue Volkswagen beetle has good forward propulsion when you roll it backwards and then let go. Practice rolling it across desk.
Fuss over coworkers new puppy.
Play with small rubber lizard found in desk.
Make the lizard step onto the ink pad and then make little footprints on the desk blotter.
Create a design using the lizard footprints and little stars drawn in with a gel pen.
Well, here it is five o'clock already.
